Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began to train in the combat sports. Along with BJJ as well, she was also trained in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. This put an ominous mark on her record in her amateur. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. InvictaFC 11 was her first professional bout. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Her next bout was a win in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to take out McGill by TKO in the third-round (elbows and punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd was unable to put on the weight. Aspen, however, beat Hoy with a TKO. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her last match with the company. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks with a majority decision. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina, and ground-and - beat her to an TKO victory in the 2nd round. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd ended Evinger during the first round, and was awarded a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos anjos-lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first fight she had in any major capacity. Ladd was the winner of the night's main event fight bonus after both fighters fought hard in a tense combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her win streak. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya in the third round at UFC in ESPN 7. For a replacement last minute to her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
