Jenna Fischer has become best known for her role as Pam Beesly, the character she played in The Office. For this character, she was awarded two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for the Best Supporting Actress.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood living in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna's mom Anne often performed in church dramas in her younger years, and this instilled an enthusiasm for theatre.
Fischer is an actor with theatre training. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway show Reasons to be Happy. Then she starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist production starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
The cast of the show, including Angela Kinsey (the cast mate of Fischer) as well as her actual best friend Angela Kinsey, who is from The Office, started a podcast back in October. The show was called Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and has been a part of the Top Ten every single week. The debut year, the show received over 200 million downloads. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's published two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide that outlines her experience in Hollywood as a working actor as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends that Were There which is a story of the greatest friendships they enjoyed and their time on The Office.
